Choir Notice for Tillicum Craft Fair Market

We started the day with our weekly spelling work.  The spelling words for the week are: 

Foundation words

no, could, my, first, been, who, now, long, day, get, made, part, new, sound

Building words

way, these, niece, might, show, float, brain, mean, close, tried, cube, uniform, stayed, price, usually

After spelling we worked had Science, learning about the rock cycle.  The students read about then answered questions on the rock cycle.  The main idea is that the Earth's surface is always wearing away, that there are many layers of rock like blankets on a bed, and that the heat and pressure of the earth makes these layers pronounced like the rings on a tree.

After recess the students went to computers where they made a power point presentation of the Rock Cycle.  They learned about animations in power point to create effects to match the words. 

After lunch the students had silent reading, sharing then went we had a desk clean and move followed by p.e. 

We ended the day with math doing two digit addition with carrying (regrouping). Well done everyone.
