Spelling words for the week are on the side, They are ow and ou words, think about that as you study them this week.
OW words:
OU words
ground, around, found,
about, house, group, would, should, country, cousin
We began the day with a very exciting presentation by a Hoop Dancer. Check out his web site at.

After recess we went to the computer lab and the students continued their power point presentation on how to tell time. They are going to present their power points to their little buddies. This follows the idea that the person doing the teaching does the learning.
After lunch the students came back and worked on their spelling handouts for the spelling words of the week. The sheets involved filling in missing letters, finding spelling mistakes, looking for word meaning, and looking and listening for vowel sounds (o in go, ow in cow, oo in too, u in up and u in put) and finding rhyming words. Activities like this help them understand the language and become familiar with the spelling words.
This was followed by Science where we worked on Marine energy. The oceans have incredible
amount of power and energy potential. Even though the marine energy technology
has not fully delivered on its potential, there has been, in recent time, a
number of areas in marine energy that has kicked off. Two of these are Wave energy and Tidal Energy.
