A notice to remember to wear RED for our Winter concert
We began the day writing our own story based on a Harris Burdick drawing. The students had to write about noticing a door somewhere there was never a door before. Having the students use images to base their stories on gives them an opportunity to learn how to improve their visual understanding and imagination.
After Recess we worked on the last of our traditional homes. We divided our page into 4 and wrote and drew the last 4 traditional houses we will we studying.
A) the grass house
B) Chickees stilt houses.
C) Brush shelters
D) Plank houses
Socials was followed with learning the 9 times table. One of the students taught us the 9 times tables using the hand trick. Ask your child to explain it to you.
After lunch the students had silent reading then we practiced handwriting. The students wrote out the Shel Silverstein poem Batty in their best Handwriting.
