Happy Ground Hog day

Welcome All Pre Kinder kids to Ready Set Learn.

We began the day looking at recipe's and what goes into a recipe.  We then looked at what goes into a recipe for friendship.  Pinch of trust, cup of fun etc.  The students then had to write their own recipe for friendship.  This month is of course Valentines day and at this age we talk about it in terms of friendship.

We began our song-off competition on the theme of friendship.  I suggested the song by white tiger "We're Going to be Friends."  M suggested "Your My Best Friend",  by Queen.  M. won.  Tomorrow another student can suggest a friendship song to go up against M.

After recess we continued working on ME, our question sheet for the Velveteen rabbit and any other work that needed finishing.  At 11:00 we went to the computer lab.  The students are making a Power point presentation to teach their little buddies how to tell time on an analog clock. (teaching others is a great way to learn yourself).

At 11:30 the students went to Music with Mrs. Awalt.

In the afternoon the grade 3's went swimming and the grade 4's went to Mrs. Thompkin or to Mrs. Cathcart.  Great to see the grade 3's improving at swimming.   P.S. No swimming next Tuesday.   Great day everyone, see you tomorrow.
