The March School Meal Program notices
(A great program for all students that makes it easy on parents)

We started the day with a math sheet on multiplication and finishing our pink shirt sayings.  The shall shirts on pink paper were written on with positive statements with sayings like 'I am awesome storyteller':  'I am a good dancer." : "I care about others."

We then read the book called Enemy Pie.

    Enemy Pie
    Book by Derek Munson
It was the perfect summer. That is, until Jeremy Ross moved into the house down the street and became neighborhood enemy number one. Luckily Dad had a surefire way to get rid of enemies: Enemy Pie. ..(ask your child about how it ends.

We continued with our daily anti-bullying with a flash mob from 2012 on acceptance at a Vancouver hockey game.  Some of the class broke into their own follow along flash mob.

We then watched "He's a Bully, Charlie Brown.  Charlie Brown and a few of his friends attend a camp, and there they meet Joe Aggit, a lying bully who offers to teach kids the game of Marbles without telling them it's for keep. Then he takes their marbles for good. When Rerun is tricked and gets his marbles taken, Charlie Brown must use his own marbles to help get the other kids their marbles back. The only problem is, Charlie Brown doesn't know how to play.

After recess when the math group headed out we read or drew pictures to go on our upcoming 100 day foe-stained glass project.  Students art will be chosen and included in the final stained glass design

This was followed by music where the students continued their study of the recorder.

Then we continued with our Science Unit.  The students wrote a brief description of four out of the 10  forms of energy: Gravitational energy,  Magnetic energy, Nuclear Energy and Electrical Energy.

We ended the day with an assembly for Pink day.   There were many moving stories and songs about acceptance and not bullying. Great day everyone see you tomorrow
