We began the day with ME (morning exercises) writing about what they wanted to be when they grew up.   Not a job but a Career.  We talked about the difference between a job and a career.

After recess the students began working on using Microsoft Power Point. The students made a project on the planets.  I showed the students how to make their presentations powerful.  And they got it.  Every last person.  I was amazed at the quality of their work and how moving and powerful their images were.

After lunch we went skating... It was raining so hard that the kinders got a bus and we were allowed to use it too.  Everyone tried their best and we had a lot of fun skating.  Thanks to M's mom who tied way more skates than I did.

Wednesday

We began the day explaining, how to read and create  Venn Diagrams.  We used Cats as Value A and Dogs as Value B.  The following Venn diagram shows Whales for Value A and Fish for Value B.

The students then used Themselves as Value A and a Family Member as Value B.

For math We are looking at creating and making times table charts that involve understanding how to use coordinate grids (time table charts).  We are beginning multiplication and the students will have to make many charts to develop their understanding.  Today the students put themselves into pairs and played a version of battleship where they tried to sink their partners ships.  They would call out 4-5 or 6-2 etc. representing a coordinate position.  Their partner would then say hit or miss or sunk.

The students then went to music where they played games, practiced their school performance bits for the winter

After lunch we read then Melinda our school counselor came in and finished her training on how our thinking about ourselves

The students then began painting their boxs for their Science Environments in a Box projects.  They are turning out amazing.

From there we went to the recognition assembly where the odd numbered divisions were recognized.  Our class will be recognized at the next assembly.

See you all tomorrow.
