Notice:

Tomorrow is the last day of school before spring break

We had lots of busy things happening today.  

We started the day having gym with one of the other grade 3 classes.  This was followed by library.  Normally we have library after recess but today, after recess we took part in the initial design of a large school felt mural project.  In Library the students finished off a First nations story about a village that had to be relocated to make way for a dam.

 

After Recess we began the first phase of a large felt mural with the theme "healthy ocean"  A professional artist is working with all the students in the school K-5 to make a large mural which will be displayed behind our sea aquarium in the main school entrance by the office.

Today we had reading then preparing for and doing  trading posts.  Stores as we call them.  The students make and sell crafts to the kinders and grade 1's and 2's.  It is a great way to learn about money and real life selling and buying.  Everyone loves coming to our stores....
